'Kashmir mein Eid ki raunak pata chalti hai'
India, June 7 -- For Sadia Khateeb, Eid-ul-Adha is a day she looks forward to the most. "Eid is all about bringing everyone together. As a kid, I remember how my entire family, including my cousins, would dress up, visit our relatives' homes, collect Eidi and have some amazing food. When we'd return home, we'd count who earned how much. Spending time with my cousins is my core memory of the festival," the actor says, as she shoots exclusively for us on the festival.
Though she was in Mumbai on Eid last year, the 27-year-old wanted to be with her family in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, this time around, especially after the recent Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor. "What happened filled my heart with fear. It was a very difficult time for us all. I have met my dad after eight months, and so much has happened during this time. For me, this Eid is all about being with my papa," says Sadia.
The actor, who was last seen in the John Abraham-starrer The Diplomat, goes on to talk about the importance of celebrating the festival in her hometown: "Kashmir mein Eid ki raunak pata chalti hai."
Currently in Kashmir, she requests people to start visiting the Valley again. "What has happened is very sad. But, there is no place like Kashmir. One tragedy cannot define the place. I really want people to experience Kashmir," the actor ends....
