India, July 20 -- There's one thing that instantly lifts actor Ahsaas Channa's mood - and inflames her tonsils - good old-school vanilla flavoured ice cream. Posing for us on Ice Cream Day, today, the 25-year-old says, "I used to live in the delusion that ice cream makes a sore throat better. I only found out much later in life that it's not true!" Not one with a sweet tooth, she rarely (if ever) gets sugar cravings. Until it comes to ice cream. "I've grown up with a big issue of tonsils. So I'm not allowed to have ice cream. But I love it so much, that I have to have it!" she gushes. This love began at a young age, when she acted in films as a child artiste: "I would eat everything on set. I remember I was shooting for a film when I was 12 years old, that film never released. But on that set, I used to have one subway sandwich with mango juice and ice cream ready in my makeup room whenever I'd arrive. I was always very pampered with food." This love translated to an attempt at making the dessert at home. Ahsaas, who is currently waiting for the release of her next OTT project, shares, "I tried during the Covid lockdown, when people were seeing recipes online and trying to make everything at home. I attempted ice cream, but really failed at it. It was always very watery."...
