India, Oct. 18 -- While the buzz around Rashmika Mandanna's engagement to actor Vijay Deverakonda and possible wedding plans continues to stir excitement among fans, the actor firmly maintains a "no comment" stance. Still, wedding or not, and with Dhanteras today, we had to ask: has she been quietly building a collection, bit by bit? "Over the years, I've definitely collected pieces here and there, not just thinking about the future or weddings, but more as keepsakes that hold emotional value," the 29-year-old tells us. When asked if there's a Dhanteras purchase she fondly remembers, Rashmika says, "I remember one Dhanteras right after my first or second film, when I had just started making decent money. It was the first time I bought something big with my own earnings." She adds, "I bought a chain and pendant for my mom; she's always been my lucky charm. It wasn't about how expensive it was or anything, but more about that feeling of giving my mom something special from my own money!" And is she particular about the kind of jewellery she invests in? "Not really, nothing too particular. I usually love small but beautiful pieces, something delicate yet meaningful. I think jewellery should reflect your personality, so I just go with whatever feels right." With Diwali next week, this time is especially significant for Rashmika as her film releases on Tuesday. Though her schedule is packed, she's manifesting time to celebrate with loved ones. "This Diwali is super, super special, as Thamma is releasing. The whole team is completely lost in promotions right now," she says. She continues, "I really hope I can go home for Diwali; it's been a while, and festivals are when I miss my family the most. With the kind of schedules we have sometimes, it's not always easy." But whenever Rashmika does get to go home, she gets together with her family to make Koovale Putt, jackfruit or banana pulp steamed in banana leaves, a dish local to her hometown, Coorg. "At the end of the day, it's those small things that make festivals so special. Just being with the people you love," she ends....
