Mohali, May 3 -- Zirakpur police have rescued a 40-year-old man who was kidnapped on April 30, and arrested four accused involved in the crime on Friday, with an old dispute emerging as the motive behind the abduction. The incident took place in Zirakpur, where the accused allegedly abducted the victim near a hotel and took him to an undisclosed location on April 30, where the accused forcibly confined the man following a previous enmity, police said on Saturday. Acting on the information, police teams launched a search operation and traced the location where the victim had been kept. Officials said they carried out raids at multiple locations before successfully rescuing the man. Police arrested four suspects involved in the kidnapping and took them into custody for further questioning.
