Chandigarh, April 5 -- UT police claimed to have cracked a knife-point robbery case, arresting two accused within three hours of the incident. The incident took place on the night of April 3 when Pankaj, a 20-year-old resident of Jagatpura in Mohali, was returning home on his cycle from Industrial Area Phase II around 9.15 pm. The victim alleged two motorcycle-borne assailants intercepted him near Kali Bari, held a knife to his neck and snatched his wallet and Vivo mobile phone. The victim was also slapped during the incident. Within hours, cops tracked down the accused, identified as Jobanpreet Singh, 26, a resident of Patiala, and Dabinder, 29, a resident of Ludhiana. Police recovered two Vivo mobile phones from Jobanpreet, while a knife, purse and Aadhaar card were recovered from Dabinder. Both accused have no prior criminal record and are stated to be farmers.
