Panchkula, July 14 -- DAV Public School observed World Population Day. A lecture and presentation session was conducted by Jyotsana for all sections of Class 9, focusing on the 2025 theme: "Empowering Youth to Create the Families They Want in a Fair and Hopeful World." The session began with an overview of the history and significance of World Population Day. Jyotsana who highlighted the causes of rapid population growth, addressed common myths surrounding the issue, and discussed its effects on physical, mental, and social health. She also spoke about effective population control measures and emphasised the importance of awareness, education, and responsible choices in shaping a better future. Students learned how population control is directly linked to the creation of qualitative citizens and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
