India, Oct. 26 -- A ctor Rasika Dugal is thrilled to explore comedy in her latest release Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, a genre she says women rarely get credit for. "It was very exciting. I hope this black comedy is a step towards doing more of it. Female actors don't get to explore comedy as much as men do, which is a pity; women have an inherent sense of humour, otherwise how would we survive in this patriarchal world?" she says, adding that only Sridevi and Juhi Chawla come to mind when she thinks of female comic icons. Rasika also reflects on the growing "pressure of the peripheries" in showbiz: "Everyone's talking about needing to be more visible on Instagram. The world feels like a reality television show, even in politics, it's all performance." While she finds the online world polarised and aggressive, Rasika admits it also fuels creativity. "There's too much shouting, no moderation, I hate that. But the humour people create online really entertains me and restores my faith in the world."...
