Panchkula, May 7 -- A 57-year-old woman, undergoing chemical treatment for xanthelasma - a condition where cholesterol-filled plaques form around the eyelids - at the civil hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula, suffered burns as the liquid spilled on to her face, allegedly due to a trainee doctor's negligence. Principal medical officer (PMO) Dr RS Chauhan said the case has been referred to the head of the skin department for inquiry.
