New Delhi, Dec. 15 -- Two men stabbed a 48-year-old woman death at a temple in northeast Delhi's Mansarovar Park, police said on Sunday. Police have detained on in connection with the stabbing, though it was not immediately clear if he was one of the suspects. According to police, the detained suspect, Anchal Saxena, was identified through CCTV cameras. During interrogation, he revealed that he suspected that the priest and his family members had malicious intentions against his family and the priest's family could harm them, said an investigator. Police said the two suspects fled the temple soon after attacking the woman, who's the wife of the temple's priest. Another woman devotee was injured when she tried to rescue the priest's wife. She received minor injuries and was admitted to a nearby hospital. Investigators said the attack might have stemmed from personal enmity and property dispute, as initial probe revealed that the priest was involved in a dispute with a local resident who had been claiming that a portion of the temple's land belonged to him. The temple is built on Delhi Development Authority Park within the DDA neighbourhood, police said.
