Bhopal, May 6 -- The Guna police on Monday concluded that a 15-year-old boy, who was found dead in the bathroom of his family's rented accommodation in the Madhya Pradesh district in February, died by suicide, clearing the mother under murder charges filed in the case. The special investigation team is set to file a closure report before the district court on Tuesday; the boy's mother, however, is behind bars. The woman found her son in the bathroom on February 14 when she returned home. With the help of their landlord, she rushed the boy to a hospital where the doctors declared him dead. Following a post-mortem examination, the boy's body was handed over to the parents. The post-mortem report said strangulation was the cause of death. During interrogation, the boy's mother told police that he objected to her clothing, and because she was the last person to see her alive, the probe officer arrested her for murder on March 7. The boy's father then filed a complaint seeking a fair probe. "As the strangulation was the cause of death so it was necessary to register an FIR of murder. The mother was a prime suspect as she was seen with the boy last time and she was the first one who saw him dead but now we are filing a closure report," Guna SP Ankit Soni said.
