woman held for sending hoax bomb threats
Bengaluru, Nov. 7 -- A 30-year-old woman, who was in custody of the Gujarat police for allegedly sending hoax bomb threat emails to multiple schools, has been arrested by Bengaluru police over a similar threat sent to a city school, police said, adding that she was "motivated by revenge".
Police said the accused, a software engineer named Rene Joshida, wanted to frame a man who had rejected her proposal in a criminal case. The accused has confessed to being involved in six cases in Bengaluru city.
Investigation also revealed that she has also been booked in connection with similar fake bomb calls in Gujarat, Mysuru, and Chennai, police said. Police said Rene used VPNs to conceal her location and relied on a mobile application to generate fake numbers. htc...
