Chandigarh, Nov. 4 -- A 33-year-old woman was found hanging at her residence in Khuda Ali Sher on Sunday afternoon. The Chandigarh Police have booked a man on charges of abetment after a note was recovered from the victim's room. According to the police, her father had gone to the market when he received a call from his son informing him about the incident. Her family took her to the government hospital in Sector 16, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. During inspection of the room, police recovered four diaries, one register, two mobile phones and a suicide note. In the note, the victim reportedly named a man, a resident of Haryana, accusing him of deceiving her with false promise of marriage and exploiting her financially. She also mentioned alleged threats made by him. Based on her father's complaint, a case of abetment to suicide was registered. htc...
