Sangrur, Jan. 22 -- A 42-year-old woman was killed and her husband severely injured when their scooter was allegedly hit by a tractor-trolley near Mehlan road in Sangrur on Wednesday. The couple was travelling from Dirba to Sangrur. Mamta Rani died on the spot. Her husband is under treatment at Umeed Hospital, Sangrur. An FIR was registered against the tractor-trolley driver who managed to escape from the spot.
