JAMMU, Nov. 29 -- All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC), an umbrella organisation of panches and sarpanches, on Thursday, urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to either provide foolproof security to Panchayat members or get ready for their en-masse resignations in J&K. Jammu and Kashmir has 4,000 sarpanches and 30,000 panches.

The fresh ultimatum comes in the wake of killings of a BDC chairman and a liaison officer, wherein two others were injured on Tuesday in Anantnag district, when terrorists attacked J&K administration's outreach programme outside Panchayat Ghar in Hakura village.
