Patna, Oct. 24 -- Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani (45) seems to have emerged as the new necessity for alliances in politically charged Bihar. The Bollywood technician-turned-politician, in his little over a decade-long political career, has emerged as a hard bargainer and has made his presence felt on the Bihar political scene.And it was quite natural for him to be elated on Thursday when the Opposition Grand Alliance, from which he had nearly walked off during seat-sharing negotiations, declared him as the bloc's deputy chief minister face. "I have been waiting for this moment for three-and-a-half long years," Sahani said. Sahani, who had initially announced that he would contest the November 2025 polls from Gaura Bauram seat, withdrew at the last moment and made his brother Sachin as the VIP's candidate.
