India, March 22 -- Actor and TVK chief Vijay's final film Jana Nayagan is still facing uncertainty ahead of its release, with the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections adding to delays caused by pending Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certification. The film, originally slated for a Pongal release, was held up due to lack of clearance from the board. Now, with elections scheduled for April 23 and the MCC set to be in force, authorities say the matter requires further scrutiny. Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik described the situation as "unprecedented", stating that the final decision on whether the film can release during the election period will rest with the Election Commission of India (ECI). She added that the ECI will take an appropriate call, leaving the film's release timeline uncertain for now. htc...
