India, March 11 -- Actor Varun Dhawan's upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will now release on June 12, a week later than its earlier scheduled date of June 5. The makers announced the shift on Tuesday, saying the decision was taken after recent developments in the release calendar. "We would like to clarify that our film was originally scheduled for release on 5th June, a date we had announced several months ago. However, after recent developments and considering the prevailing situation, we felt it would be more appropriate to shift our release," the statement read. It added, "We believe that it is healthier for the industry when filmmakers support one another rather than compete unnecessarily on the same date." The move comes after the makers of Yash-starrer Toxic postponed their film's release from March 19 to June 4. Reports suggested the change was made in the hope that the situation in the Middle East would stabilise by then. Earlier, Toxic had been scheduled to clash with actor Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which continues to hold its March 19 release date. HTC...
