Chandigarh, March 27 -- With at least 130 missed calls in 10 minutes, the Covid-19 helpline (9779558282) started by UT health department just never stops buzzing. Even the emergency helpline (112) receives about 300 calls a day.

Amid the curfew, the only way for anxious residents to get their queries answered is through the helpline numbers.

An official manning the Covid helpline number (2722338), on the condition of anonymity said, "I have lost count of the number of calls I receive a day. The number of calls has sharply risen after the curfew was imposed in the city.
