Chandigarh, Feb. 13 -- Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Thursday claimed that the US-India trade deal will "destroy" farmers of Punjab. Calling the trade deal a "conspiracy to destroy Punjab's farmers", Cheema claimed that if cheap American milk powder, cheese and agricultural products were allowed to enter India at low prices, it would directly crush farmers in Punjab and the rest of the country. "Where will the farmers go?" he asked, alleging that the BJP government had surrendered before America. The AAP leader questioned why BJP leaders in Punjab were misleading the public by claiming that Punjab would benefit from this deal. He also hit out at BJP state president Sunil Jakhar for holding press conferences and making "misleading claims" that Punjab would gain from the deal....
