AMRITSAR, Dec. 6 -- Congress' Gurdaspur MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on Friday met Akal Takht jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gurgaj to register a complaint against AAP's Dera Baba Nanak MLA Gurdeep Singh Randhawa for his 'objectionable remarks' about the turbans during the nomination process for Block Committee and Zila Parishad elections. Gurdeep Singh Randhawa, responding to a media query after a clash during the nomination process, had said that turbans "keep falling off and are wrapped again." Randhawa submitted a memorandum to the jathedar demanding action against the AAP MLA. Speaking to the media after the meeting, MP Randhawa said, "Supporters of the MLA not only threatened Sikh candidates who came to file their nominations but also forcibly removed their turbans. Such actions have deeply hurt Sikh sentiments." MLA Randhawa said that Sukhjinder Randhawa has no moral right to questionothers.
