TTD suspends 4 for practising other faiths
Hyderabad, July 20 -- The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)- the managing body which manages the temple of Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala at Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh, on Saturday announced the suspension of four employees on grounds of practising faiths other than Hinduism.
The four employees were suspended based on allegations that they did not follow the institution's code of conduct and acted irresponsibly while performing their duties.
"After examining the report submitted by the TTD Vigilance Department and other evidence, departmental action was taken against them as per the rules and the four employees were immediately suspended," the statement said.
On May 20 this year, the TTD trust adopted a resolution that there would be no non-Hindus in any institution run by TTD.HTC...
