Mohali, Oct. 19 -- A 61-year-old cyclist died after being hit by a tractor-trailer near Banur on Saturday morning. The victim was identified as Mani Singh. According to his son, Nirmal Singh, the accident occurred around 6 am when Mani was going to buy milk on his motorcycle. The complainant alleged that the tractor trailer hit his father's bike from the back, leaving him critically injured. Mani was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh, where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police said the driver, identified as Anshi Chand, fled the scene after the accident.
