India, May 23 -- Celebrations are on for Ruhaanika Dhawann - the actor scored 91% in her class XII International Baccalaureate (IB) board results. When other actors her age were taking up work, she chose a different path. "I halted my career for three years to focus on my studies, and now I feel it was all worth it," says the actor best known for portraying young Ruhi Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. And celebrations are double-fold as the 17-year-old has bought her first home! "Buying my own house with my hard-earned money feels unbelievable, and somewhere it's made me more responsible. It's sinking in that I'm almost an adult now and need to take ownership of my decisions, even though my parents are with me every step of the way," she says. This percolates into her academic inclinations, too. Ruhaanika has completed her A-levels in the Cambridge curriculum and is planning to pursue economics with a minor in international relations or entrepreneurship. Currently prepping for entrance exams for colleges across India, the actor had initially wanted to study abroad: "(But) my parents believe I'm still too young to be on my own in another country, and I agree. And partly, I want to stay closer to my first love - acting," she signs off....
