Berhampore/Kolkata, July 25 -- A Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker and the nephew of a TMC leader were killed in separate incidents in Murshidabad and South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, police said on Thursday. TMC worker Shashti Ghosh (55) was allegedly hacked to death by unidentified assailants in Bharatpur area of Murshidabad on Wednesday night. "Two people have been detained for questioning," said Murshidabad assistant superintendent of police Raspreet Singh. Rakib Sheikh (26), nephew of TMC leader Salauddin Sheikh, was allegedly killed in South 24 Parganas. A probe is ongoing, officials said. htc...
