Mohali, Jan. 13 -- Police arrested three accused in separate cases in the Kharar area and recovered 175 grams of heroin and 36 bottles of liquor during operations conducted between January 9 and January 11. On January 9, police apprehended Sakir Hussain, a resident of Yamunanagar, Haryana, and recovered 150 grams of heroin from his possession. On January 10, during a check near a water tank in Gharuan, police arrested Mohit Kumar, a resident of Balongi. Police recovered 25 grams of heroin from him. On January 11, police arrested Avtar Singh at the Gharuan bus stand. He is a resident of Ferozepur and currently lives in Bhago Majra. Police recovered 36 bottles of liquor marked "For Sale in Chandigarh Only" from his Activa scooter.
