Chandigarh, Sept. 5 -- The city recorded 20.9 mm rain overnight and 0.9 mm rain during the day on Thursday. Met officials said that though residents can expect rain in the coming days, it won't be of the same intensity as was seen when Western Disturbance was affecting the city. The monsoon system, however, continues to remain active and may bring a few spells of rain. The maximum temperature rose from 27.9degC on Wednesday to 29.1degC on Thursday, four degrees below normal. The minimum temperature rose from 21.9degC on Wednesday to 23.9degC on Thursday but was still 1.4deg degrees below normal.
