The SD Vidya School focuses on well-being
Ambala Cantt, Feb. 19 -- The SD Vidya School observed National Deworming Day as per the guidelines issued by the health department from February 13 to 17. This campaign was aimed at children aged between 6 to 19 years. Under the supervision of teachers and the medical officer, students were, with their parents' consent, administered the tablet, Albendazole, ensuring their overall well-being. Parents were instructed to ensure their children had a filling breakfast before coming and send them with a lunch box and a water bottle. Students were educated about intestinal worms' various causes and were advised to maintain a clean environment. They were also taught to follow hygiene practices, including washing their hands properly with soap before and after having meals, and to always wash fruits and vegetables before consuming them to prevent malnutrition and anaemia. Director-principal Neelinderjeet Kaur Sandhu stated that a healthy body lives in a healthy mind and necessary steps will continue to be taken in the future.
