The SD Vidya girls' basketball team shines at inter-school tournament
Ambala Cantt, May 5 -- The girls' students of The SD Vidya School, brought laurels to the school by winning the second position and a trophy at the Inter-School Invitational Girls' Basketball Tournament organised at Jesus and Mary School.
The event was attended by the presence of the chief guest, Gurbaaz Singh, an international hockey player, who was there to inspire and motivate the young participants.
The SD Vidya School was represented by Ananya Aggrawal, Ananya Dharyan, Anaya Gulati, Ikshita Bisht, Harshita, Parsi, Nandini, Siya, and Sarika, who displayed exceptional dedication and true sportsmanship while representing their school.
The director principal of the school, Neelinderjeet Kaur Sandhu, congratulated the basketball team and remarked that The SD Vidya School firmly believes sports play a significant role in shaping a child's character, leadership skills, and holistic personality.
The president of the school, BK Soni, appreciated the students' outstanding performance in the tournament.
He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the basketball team and reiterated the school's commitment to promoting excellence in both academics and co-curricular activities.
