India, Sept. 4 -- Months after the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) Indian Premier League victory parade turned deadly, franchise star Virat Kohli broke his silence on the tragedy on Wednesday. What was meant to be a historic celebration to mark the team's first-ever win ended in chaos after overcrowding triggered a stampede outside Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium, killing 11 people and injuring more than 40. In a statement, the cricketer admitted that the events of June 4 left him "shaken" in ways he never imagined. "What should've been the happiest moment in our franchise's history turned into something tragic. I've been thinking of and praying for the families of those we lost and for our fans who were injured. Your loss is part of our story now," a part of the statement read. The former RCB captain's comments follow the franchise's RCB Cares initiative. The six-point plan is reportedly designed to support the victims' families. "Together, we will move forward with care, respect and responsibility," Virat concluded his statement. Launched nearly three months after the incident, it includes a compensation package of Rs.25 lakh for each of the victims' families and outlines future safety protocols for large gatherings, community outreach programmes, and other measures to "rebuild trust" among fans after the tragedy.htc...
