Chandigarh, June 6 -- As the sun resurged after days of cloudy and rainy weather, the maximum temperature rose from 34.5degC on Wednesday to 36.3degC on Thursday, still 2.5 degrees below normal. The temperature increased by two notches despite 2.6 mm rain the previous night. As per the India Meteorological Department, with no Western Disturbances likely in the coming days, dry and clear weather is expected that will cause the maximum temperature to cross the 40degC mark by Sunday. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature fell from 21.7degC to 21.3degC, 5.1 degrees below normal....
