Teej festivities at DAV Public School, Sec8
Panchkula, July 29 -- DAV Public School, Sector-8, came alive with festive spirit during the Teej celebration. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents and embrace Indian cultural values.
Teej, a festival that celebrates the sacred union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, symbolises devotion, harmony, and the prosperity of nature during monsoon. It strengthens cultural ties and spiritual reflection.
The celebration began with a self-composed poem by Prerna Talwar followed by an energetic action song by students of Classes 4 and 5 under the guidance of Prabha, which elated the environment. A captivating folk singing performance by students of Classes 6 to 8, trained by Shubhankar and Rajkumar added a musical richness to the event.
The students of classes 9, 10, and 11 participated in 'Bindiya and Bangle designing' for their moms.
The competition was conducted by the art teachers, Anjali Awal and Balroop. Principal Ritu Dilbagi appreciated the efforts of students and teachers, encouraging all to stay connected with their roots through such cultural expressions....
