Panchkula, Nov. 21 -- In the presence of principal Ritu Dilbagi, the Social Science Need-Based Training Programme, Cycle 2, was conducted at DAV-8. Nidhi Vig from the host school led an engaging module on Map Basics, using innovative pedagogies and activity-based learning. Her interactive strategies demonstrated simple and creative ways to make map reading more enjoyable and meaningful. Shivani Batra from Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, Panchkula, conducted insightful sessions on the topics "Inside the Curious Eye - Power of Observation & Social Science Lab Journal" and "Designing Questions with Purpose." She explained how purposeful questioning fosters curiosity and deepens learning. The training enriched teachers with practical techniques to make Social Science classrooms more learner-centred-truly reflecting the theme "A curious mind is a happy mind."
