Ludhiana, May 16 -- A 17-day awareness camp on tuberculosis (TB) organised by the Sarv Kalyan Mission, a non-governmental organisation, began at the railway station here on Wednesday. The camp will conclude on May 31.
NGO chairman Dr Satish Nauhria said the aim of the camp was to educate people on how they could save themselves from the disease.
Dr Nauhria said, "The NGO aims at reaching out to more than 5 lakh people, including industrial workers, general workers and migrant labourers in the district, and make them aware of the disease. This will help them to realise their dream of making Ludhiana a TB-free district."
