Chandigarh, March 23 -- A one-day symposium on advances in biological anthropology to honour professor Rajan Gaur, palaeoanthropologist, was inaugurated by professor Shankarji Jha, dean of university instructions, Panjab University, here on Friday. A collation of the research work of professor Gaur was released. Gaur spoke about the continuation of the legacy of fossil primates and human evolution studies which was earned world wide fame for the department of anthropology.
