Chandigarh, Dec. 4 -- In a bid to provide meaningful exposure to India's Rich Cultural Heritage and to instil a deep sense of Patriotism and Gratitude, KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7B, Chandigarh organised an Enriching Educational Excursion for its Class 12 learners to Amritsar and the Attari Border on November 29. The journey commenced at the revered Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), a global symbol of peace, equality and spiritual devotion. Students marvelled at the shrine's stunning architecture reflected in the tranquil waters of the Amrit Sarovar. They absorbed the serene atmosphere of the holy site and gained firsthand insight into the Sikh principles of service and humility by observing the operations of the Langar, one of the world's largest community kitchens. This experience offered students valuable lessons in universal brotherhood and selfless service. The trip then proceeded to the Attari-Wagah Border, where the students witnessed the iconic and electrifying Beating Retreat Ceremony. The meticulously coordinated Parade, performed by the gallant soldiers of India's Border Security Force (BSF) and the Pakistan Rangers, was a spectacle of national pride and discipline. The energetic display, accompanied by resonant patriotic slogans, filled every learner with immense pride and respect for the Nation's Defence Forces. The ceremony left a profound impact, evoking strong emotions of nationalism and appreciation for the sacrifices made to protect the country's sovereignty. The accompanying teaching staff ensured seamless coordination and safety at all stages, facilitating a smooth and impactful experience.
