Students from Bhavan Vidyalaya embark on European expedition
Panchkula, Oct. 16 -- Bhavan Vidyalaya organised an enriching educational trip to Europe from September 26 to October 7, offering students a memorable blend of learning and cultural exposure. A group of 53 students from Classes 6 to 12, accompanied by four chaperones Megha Bhardwaj, Anjali Sharma, Kushal Bharadwaj, Kanwarpreet Singh and led by principal Gulshan Kaur, embarked on this 11-day educational journey across France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and the Vatican City.
This trip was coordinated by international programme coordinator Sonia Arora. It was designed to broaden students' global perspectives, promote intercultural understanding and provide first-hand exposure to international institutions and heritage sites.
Among the key highlights of the trip were a special interactive session at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, where students gained insight into global peacekeeping and diplomacy and a visit to the Indian Embassy in Rome, where they had an engaging discussion with Her Excellency Vani Rao, ambassador of India to Italy about India's role in global affairs and cultural exchange.
In addition to these academic experiences, the students explored world-renowned landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, Disneyland in Paris, the Rhine Falls in Switzerland, Mount Titlis, the Colosseum and Roman Forum in Italy, Perfume factory, Chocolate factory and the St Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.
