Student wellness in focus at meet
Chandigarh, Nov. 30 -- A workshop on cultivating mental wellness and preventing suicide among students was organised on Saturday by Chandigarh Citizens Foundation (CCF), in association with UT administration.
In her opening remarks, deputy director school education Bindu Arora expressed confidence that with collective efforts, this issue can be addressed comprehensively.
In the first session Dr Ajeet K Sidana, head of department of psychiatry, GMCH-32, and Dr Krishan Kumar Soni, from PGIMER's department of psychiatry shared their insights on the early identification of warning signs.
IAS officer Balamurugan, the general secretary of CCF, outlined that a core team will hold brainstorming sessions with the school education department officials, to formulate effective strategies and programmes to be recommended to be implemented in schools....
