Panchkula, April 2 -- Caught violating multiple traffic rules during a surprise check in Kharak Mangoli village, a motorcyclist was slapped with a staggering Rs.22,500 challan on Wednesday. According to police, the rider, identified as Sourav, a resident of Manimajra, was stopped around 1 pm and could not produce any valid vehicle-related document. Additionally, the motorcycle did not have a proper number plate, with several letters and numbers missing. Considering the serious violations, police issued a challan of Rs.22,500 on the spot, including Rs.10,000 for missing pollution certificate, Rs.5,000 for missing registration certificate, Rs.5,000 for driving without licence, Rs.2,000 driving without insurance and Rs.500 for improper number plate. The vehicle was subsequently impounded as the rider failed to pay the fine.
