Chandigarh, Oct. 28 -- Seven Seven Punjabi men who were stranded near Dushanbe in Tajikistan after being allegedly deceived by a "fraudulent" agent reached Delhi on Monday afternoon. These seven men had sent a distress video on October 19 seeking help. Their return was made possible through the swift intervention of the Indian Embassy in Tajikistan, said Rajya Sabha member Vikramjit Singh Sahney who had sent a letter to the Indian Embassy in Tajikistan. "These men will be provided skilling and employment opportunities in Punjab. They will also be assisted in taking legal action against the unscrupulous agent responsible for their exploitation," Sahney added. Harminder Singh, a 22-year-old youth from Jalandhar, has shared a video with his family, claiming that he has been forcefully inducted into the Russian armed forces and deployed in war zone. He said travel agents had promised him job in a construction company in Russia.
