Chandigarh, Oct. 11 -- Top seed Ishaque Eqbal outplayed third seed Mohit Mayur 3-2, who retired in the mid of the match of the men's semi-final during the ~3.5 lakh state tennis championship at Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) stadium, Sector 10, on Thursday. With this win, Ishaque entered men's final and will lock horns with second seed Rishi Reddy, who beat sixth seed Anurag Nenwani 6-7(8), 6-3, 5-1 (retired).

After being first set down in the tie-break Rishi Reddy came back in a good form and played solid game.
