Chandigarh, May 13 -- A seminar by Chandigarh chapter of "Institute of Companies Secretaries of India" was conducted at St Xavier's Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-C. Commerce students of Classes 9,10 ,11 and 12 attended the seminar. CS Manjit Singh, chairman, Chandigarh Chapter of Institute of Companies Secretaries of India was the key note speaker accompanied by CS Niharika. A brief power point presentation highlighting the role of company secretary in the corporate governance of a company in India was given. Eligibility criterion to enter the profession, various opportunities available to company secretaries as professional or in employment were discussed by CS Manjit. Thereafter, CS Niharika also answered few queries raised by students. Present on the occasion were CMA Naresh Handa, assistant director, Chandan S Patwal, additional principal, Taruna Khanna, junior vice principal, Amanjot Singh head of commerce department and other faculty members.
