Chandigarh, Dec. 17 -- St Joseph's Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, has once again affirmed its leadership in scientific thinking by winning the Overall Best Trophy for the third year at the State Level Exhibition of Models under the National Population Education Project (NPEP) 2025-26. The exhibition, held from December 2 to 5 alongside the Rajya Stariya Bal Vigyanik Pradarshani, brought together 220 models from schools across the city. St Joseph's contributed 14 well-researched entries that reflected clarity, creativity, and purposeful design. Out of these, nine models were shortlisted and seven secured top positions, placing the school in a distinguished league of consistent achievers. The four-day event-spanning model setup, inauguration, student interactions, and final judgement-gave students a complete platform to present and defend their ideas. Their work addressed meaningful themes such as emerging technologies, eco-sustainability, water conservation, waste management, population education, and mathematics-based innovation. Leading entries included a maglev ambulance model designed to reimagine emergency medical transport, Aquabloom-a floating greenhouse showcasing futuristic agricultural possibilities-and a smart refrigerator equipped with sensors to promote food safety and reduce wastage. Senior students further strengthened the school's presence with thoughtful models rooted in mathematical reasoning, design applications, and sustainable practices. Reflecting on the achievement, G Nithya, head of the Science Department, shared that the students displayed admirable commitment and depth of understanding throughout the exhibition. She emphasised that their work went beyond construction of models and demonstrated an ability to connect scientific ideas with real-world challenges. Principal Monica Chawla stated that the honour reflects a culture where curiosity is encouraged, processes are valued, and excellence is pursued with sincerity. She appreciated the students for representing the school with confidence across all stages of the exhibition and commended the mentoring team for guiding them with patience and purpose....
