St Joseph's Sr Sec empowers students to lead, transform
Chandigarh, July 18 -- St Joseph's Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, concluded the second edition of its visionary summer initiative - St Joseph Student Internship Programme 2.0 (SJSIP 2.0) - an idea of the school principal, Monica Chawla. The programme was designed to enroll school students for internship within the school campus. This four-day immersive journey transformed classrooms into boardrooms and corridors into canvases, nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
The programme opened with an inspiring session by Abhishek Gupta, a celebrated brand strategist, who introduced the young interns to the art of branding and personal identity. Energised by his words, students formed teams with inventive names like 'The Idea Ignitors' and 'The Revamp Rangers' and enthusiastically undertook the task of redesigning functional school spaces with creativity and purpose. As the momentum grew, students dived into experiential learning, sketching layouts, selecting themes, and using paint and expression to bring their visions to life.
A powerful address by Col BP Singh (retd), who shared the discipline, dignity, and vast opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces. The spirit of enterprise was further fuelled by entrepreneur Vivek Mehra, who kindled the entrepreneurial mindset among students, pushed them to think boldly and act purposefully. Many teams took up socially relevant themes such as marine conservation, mental well-being, and cleanliness, reflecting their growing awareness and sensitivity.
The final day showcased vibrant team presentations, interactive policy reviews by Aayush Aggarwal. The event culminated in a talent and a grand felicitation ceremony celebrating excellence in creativity, teamwork, and leadership.
