St Anne's Convent School kids brighten lives of less fortunate
Chandigarh, Dec. 18 -- St Anne's Convent School is reaching out the needy and lonely people, spreading warmth, contributing smiles and raising hopes while cherishing the spirit of Christmas as the festival of community service and compassion.
To instil the art of generosity and lighting the lives of the less fortunate among the students, principal Sr Siji, vice principal, Sr Regina, Sr Shiny, teachers and students embarked on the noble cause of gifting essential commodities to the people in and around Chandigarh to mark the spirit of Christmas. Places like Burail village, Dhanas , Mother Teresa Home etc were visited by St Anne's team.
Students were really happy. "I felt so satisfied presenting the gifts. The spark in their eyes was indescribable." Shared one of the eighth class students. "I am happy at least we could do something for them who are alone and suffering endlessly." said a student of class 9 after visiting Mother Teresa Home. According to the school principal Sr Siji, "This service to mankind will help build a foundation in the young minds that their act no matter how small can make a real difference."...
