Chandigarh, Dec. 31 -- The Science Porium Club of Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, organised an educational visit to the Energy Park for students of Classes 5 to 8 under the able guidance of the school principal. The visit was organised with the support of the department of Science and Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh administration. Around 150 students, accompanied by their teachers, participated in the visit with the objective of developing scientific temperament and sensitising students towards the importance of energy conservation. During the visit, students gained first-hand exposure to various working models such as biogas plants, solar cookers, solar cars, and demonstrations related to solar energy, wind energy, and hydroelectric power generation through dams. The educational visit proved to be both informative and enjoyable, providing students with a valuable learning experience beyond the classroom.
