Mohali, Dec. 2 -- As many as 134 exotic animals and birds from abroad rescued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in May this year will be on display at the Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park popularly known as Chhatbir Zoo in Zirakpur from April 2020.

The custody of these animals was handed over to the Chhatbir Zoo through the forest department of Punjab that had taken the animals from the forest department of Madhya Pradesh.

"We got these birds and animals from Indore. We are creating a special area for the display of the animals by April next year," said Chhatbir Zoo field director M Sudhagar.

The zoo has got the custody of the birds and animals and they have been kept in the observatory of the Chhatbir zoo.
