Shri Kulwant Rai Vidya Mandir celebrates Rakhi
Chandigarh, Sept. 2 -- Shri Kulwant Rai Sarvahitkari Vidya Mandir celebrated Raksha Bandhan on its campus. The spirit of love and protection filled the premises with tiny tots celebrating the festival with great enthusiasm and affection.
On this occasion, the students participated in different activities like rakhi making competition, decorating rakhi plates and making rakhi cards for soldiers.
Tiny tots of the school also tied rakhi to each other's wrists, a heart warming act that introduced them to the core tradition of the festival. Under the Prakriti Vandan Programme the students also tied rakhi to the trees to protect them. Rakhis were also tied by the senior students to Kamal Sisodia, the Chief Commandant of CRPF battalion and other soldiers also.
The Brahma Kumaris sisters tied Raksha Sutra to the faculty members, offering blessings of safety, harmony and inner strength. On this occasion principal Kamaldeep Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers....
