Chandigarh, May 11 -- A 31-year-old man from Shimla was found dead, of suspected drugoverdose, near the forest area between Sector 38 and Sector 38 West on Sunday. The deceased was an electrician who had arrived in the city about two days ago to visitfamily members. According to police, thevictim had told his family on Saturday that he was going out for a haircut but did not return. His body was recovered the next day. Family members, however, alleged foul play and claimed he had been murdered. Maloya police initiated inquest proceedings after apreliminary probe revealed that the victim frequently consumed alcohol and drugs, and could have died of overdose.
