Panchkula, Dec. 22 -- Union home minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Panchkula on December 24 to lead a series of high-profile events alongside Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini. The visit, falling on the eve of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birth anniversary, will be marked by the unveiling of a 41-foot tall metal statue of the Bharat Ratna recipient at Atal Park in MDC, Sector 1. Following the ceremony, the Home minister will inaugurate a mega blood donation camp at the park and visit "Panchkamal," the state BJP office, to inspect an exhibition dedicated to Vajpayee's life and legacy. The itinerary also features a significant security showcase at the Tau Devi Lal Sports Stadium in Sector 3, where the Home minister will take the salute at a passing-out parade of newly recruited Haryana Police personnel. Shah is expected to address the jawans, emphasising the government's commitment to strengthening law and order. In honour of Veer Bal Diwas, Shah will preside as the chief guest at the "Sahibzadon Ko Naman" programme at the Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector 5.
