shah: won't rest until lwe eliminated
New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Union home minister Amit Shah has said that the Narendra Modi-led government will not rest until all Naxalites either surrender, are caught, or are eliminated. Shah made the remarks on Tuesday at an event felicitating jawans of the CRPF and Chhattisgarh Police who were part of the anti-Maoist operation, titled Operation Black Forest, at Karregutta hills near the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border earlier this year. As part of the three week-long operation, forces took control of a key Maoist base and neutralised at least 31 Maoists, while also finding four weapons manufacturing factories in the hills.
"The Union Home Minister congratulated the jawans for their valour in making Operation Black Forest, the biggest anti-Naxal operation ever conducted on Karreguttalu hill, a success...," a statement of the event said.
"Shah said that the government will not rest until all the Naxalites either surrender, are caught or eliminated." Reiterating efforts to make the country free from Maoism by March 2026, Shah said it is making every effort to make the lives of security forces smooth, particularly those who have suffered injuries in differnt anti-Maoist operations. htc...
